City Bowl JoshGenner, Curtly Fortuin, reminds us that asking and trusting God for healing is a simple thing. Watch Curtly share his story of how the Lord healed him of a serious asthmatic condition he had struggled with for seven years. He was healed instantly after receiving prayer from a friend at a meeting being led by visiting UK evangelist, Jonathan Conrathe. Praise God!
“I had asthma since I was 12 years old. I never really thought much about it, I just accepted and lived with it all my life. Then there was a Wednesday session with Jonathan Conrathe and he asked if there was anyone who wanted healing. I didn’t go forward because I was scared and had doubts that I wouldn’t be healed.
We had a prayer session the Sunday at church and I told myself that I’m not going to make this complex, I’m just going to ask someone to pray for me and see if I’m going to get healed. I was with my good friend Tanaka and I asked him if he could come and pray for healing over him. I closed my eyes and I didn’t think of anything and in that instant, I felt something in my chest. Something started to open, it felt like I was developing brand new lungs.I then got another friend Humphrey come with me and we went and ran outside. I didn’t take my pump in 3 days and at that point running was a bad idea because it would cause me to wheeze or even have a panic attack and I wouldn’t be able to breathe but none of that happened. I couldn’t believe it, I was in such awe and shock – it was like God had given me brand new lungs. Personally, I feel like that healing is proof of his existence and I encourage everyone not to be afraid. Don’t make things complicated, just get someone come, close your eyes and believe that God can do anything and that he can bring healing over anyone.
The last time used my pump was in June and I didn’t use it since and have no desire to use it at all!”
